I had my first relieving day in an Auckland school. It was intense. The kids were hard to settle, and very got riled up very easily. But at the end of the day, kids are kids, so it was ok. And the staff were awesome. Hopefully they call again. Not least because I left some stuff there.
The babies are driving us insane. Rush needed the vet cos he had a sore tummy, but he refuses to eat the food or take the antibiotics he was prescribed, so he cries when we go to bed and pretends like we're starving him. The first time we tried to give him his meds he started frothing white foam and blood, which freaked us out quite a lot, till we realised it was just that his loose baby teeth had started coming out.
Ruby started coughing yesterday. Terry took her to the vet, where they sedated her and had a look at her throat with a camera. No obstructions. But a very inflamed throat. Poor wee sausage. She has antibiotics too, but in pill form, thank god. She's eating like she's got the munchies atm. We're not meant to let her eat too much. We're going to have to starve her too soon. Evil parents that we are.
